Above Domination

"From the top of his tower, the philosopher of domination sees the universe in miniature. Everything is small because he is so high. And since he is high, he is great, the height of his station is proof of his own greatness."
--Gaston Bachelard, The Poetics of Space

Coyote, trickster god, looks down on us
And laughs in joy. He's laughing high above
Those who, in thinking they look down on us,
Are misbelieving all they know and love.

  1. Troy, the poem by Gaston Bachelard, which I didn't include in my post reminded me of Global Domination. And I see that as a toxic mental/cultural virus that some philosophers (lovers of philosophy) are bringing into the world now. Aaah. Got it. If I copy and paste this, I can create another post that includes this comment and yet links to your work in a way that might increase its presence in the world.

Thank you for our interactions over the past couple of days, and earlier of course. _/\_

  2. Agreed. Glad you enjoyed my poem.

I appreciate all constructive comments.
