Pink and Blue

The bluets blossom in the East, blue flowers
With yellow centers spread in pointillist
Flats flowering on mosses that resist
The growth of weeds and any grass that towers
Above and threatens them with their pale shade,
The same as in the West where tiny pink
Blooms burst up after a slow burn makes ink
The land so open space can be then made
For them to show off their own yellow eyes
Connecting blue and pink, the four and five
Divisions, separated by tall mountains,
Geometry and color, land that lies
Between these flowers – differences that drive
All difference, from the same center fountains.
